Here’s a picture of a nice jack caught by Joe Pozzi. Joe says the fish just can’t resist these new Shimano Orca lures. And he has proof!
We’re almost – almost – thinking about trying ice fishing again after getting this picture from Troy Arnson from Williston, ND of this huge 11 lb + 29″ walleye caught out of Lake Winnipeg last month. Troy says they caught over 170 fish (many big) in 2 1/2 days. Wow!
Opening day is always a special time and Barry Battista says this year was no different. Here he shows us just how it’s done on Lake Glenwild in New Jersey.
This huge black drum was caught by Matt Brumwell while fishing for reds and specs and, as Matt says, was a surprise. Matt admitted this was the first time he actually worried about snapping a rod in half. These fish, especially when they get this size, are tough!

Thanks to Michael Scalzi for this fantastic picture of a 34 1/2″, 15 lb Crystal River redfish caught recently using a G. Loom is 7’6″ GreenWater spinning rod, a Shimano Stradic 4000 reel, and 15 lb PowerPro braid with a jig and 5″ swimbait on the end. Perfect catch!
