American Legacy Fishing Braggin’ Board | February 3, 2013

Brandon Adam’s son Zev seems enchanted at this nice bass caught around Green Peter-Foster, Oregon recently. Thanks to grandpa Paul Adams for this great picture!  

Put a YoZuri top water bait, Loomis rod, and Kamal Al Sultan together and this is what you get; a lot of fight and a perfect “table sized” tuna! Well done, Kamal! 

Bob Daly sends us this picture of a monster golden dorado from La Zona caught recently. Bob says the fishing was crazy with some of the best top water action he has ever experienced! 

So we got this picture of a fascinating fish from Bob Daly caught out of La Zona. Not sure of the exact species, but we’re guessing it’s in the catfish family! 

Thanks to Steve Tanner (Fisheries Science graduate student at South Dakota State University) for posting us some info on catfish ages. Steve says some channel cats get as old as 25 years in Oahe & Angostura reservoirs. This little guy (with Bailey & Brandon) is number 4,736th Steve and his crew caught after about 200 hours on the reservoir. It was also the last one. Thanks, Steve, for the info! 

Yea, it may be cold in late December, but that certainly doesn’t keep the fish from biting as Paul Svec shows us with this very nice largemouth caught on Newton Lake in southern Illinois. Paul says his G. Loomis MossyBack BCR855 was just the ticket!
