Hi Folks,

Well, it looks like Christmas season has begun in earnest. Almost every day our local newspaper has two or three times the sales flyers or inserts that it normally does. The actual ads in the paper itself are more numerous than usual as well. Even the Wall Street Journal seems thicker than normal. I suspect this is due to more advertisements rather than added in depth reporting on financial concerns or events. Yep, I think the Christmas season has begun for sure.

Now the gang at American Legacy Fishing hasn’t been asleep through all this. Nope, we figured it out just about as quickly as the rest of you. We all know Christmas is a time when everyone sort of turns up the spend-o-meters. And you know what? It’s lots of fun to do! Kinda’ like dieting for a long time and then tossing not only the diet, but caution to the wind. Ummmm, it’s so much fun!

My take is when we do this we all enjoy it far more than if we haven’t been restrained or conservative, on a diet so-to-speak, beforehand. Christmas season is a time when we make ourselves take time to think of others and how much we love them. Maybe it’s the “legitimate” excuse we all need to slow down and enjoy our family and friends the way we should be doing all year round.

Whatever, I personally love the Christmas season and the goodwill that it ushers in. People seem friendlier, more patient, happier. Well, maybe not if you’re going to, at, or leaving the shopping mall, but otherwise I think this is the case. Yes, Christmas is a great time if you will take the time.

Open Water Tackle Bags and Accessories Best of the Best and Now In Stock………………

Open Water Tackle Bags won the 2010 ICAST Best Tackle Management Equipment Award. We were impressed! Open Water at one time made Shimano’s Tackle bags and accessories, so we were even more impressed. We’re not sure why the two companies parted ways, but are sure glad they did since Shimano’s loss has proven to be our gain.

Tuf-Line XP Joins the American Legacy Fishing Company Line-Up…………………..

We’ve been carrying Western Filament’s Tuf-Line XP for about two years in our store, but haven’t offered it on our web site up until now. Recently many, many customers have asked us to do this, so we listened and now every Tuf-Line XP line test and spool size is available on line.

Tuf-Line XP is a more compact, smaller diameter braided line that packs extremely well on reels. Our experience is that XP answers the need for a braided line that has superior knot performance and resists “micro knots” extremely well. These lines cast remarkably far and seem to resist abrasion better than many other brands of braided line while being priced very competitively.

Tuf-Line XP is available in 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 65, 80, 100, 130, 150, 200, and 250 lb test with four non-bleeding (fading) color choices: Green, Red, Yellow, and White.
