My-oh-my, how we LOVE the new Shimano Waxwing Jigs. Originally introduced in two sizes, “Boy” and “Junior“, we just received the latest (and now smallest) size, the “Baby“. Obscure company. Fantastic top-water baits. Just two models and only 6 colors for each model. I guess when a bait works it really doesn’t matter how many models or colors, right? What we have are “Repo Man” which is a 4 ¾” long, ¾ oz top water walking bait that just kills big bass, stripers, and other aggressive biting fish. The other offering is called “The One” and it’s 5 ¾” long and ¾ oz and is a top water jerk bait. Ditto on the performance. These baits produce!
Both of these marvelous baits are made of a very HARD plastic and filled with GLASS beads that give them a crisp, distinct sound that definitely attracts fish. Big fish!
