Braggin Board | June 12, 2011

August 5, 2011 By Fishing Pro Leave a Comment

PLEASE Send us some recent pictures!  Kids, Wives, Girlfriends, Mom, or Dad, we love them all! Just attach them to an e-mail with a short explanation to [email protected] and we’ll make sure they are posted on the “Braggin’ Board”. We will also try to get them in our newsletter.

Lake Huron Salmon, Nice!

Mary Beth Cronk shows everyone how it’s done! This very nice salmon was caught on Lake Huron on King Fishers Charter’s boat by Mary Beth while husband Michael watched. Great catch!

Big California Bass

The California Delta in Stockton holds some big fish. Ben Landis proves that with this awesome 8 lb largemouth caught during his first trip in Jesse Germano’s bass boat. A Rebel Pop-R, Loomis rod and Shimano reel were all it took to get this bad boy to strike. Bravo, Ben!

I have my hat, let's go fishing!

OK, everyone who reads our newsletter knows by now there are 5 golden retrievers in the Ashby family. So including this picture of Maggie owned by Ed Smolen in Canada should be no big surprise. We especially like Maggie’s choice of hat!

Nice 21" Smallie from Kentucky Lake

How about a 21″ smallmouth caught in the middle of our very hot heat wave? Brian Smith confirms it was H-O-T but that didn’t stop him from bring in this beauty from Kentucky Lake this week. His G. Loomis BronzeBack rod with a Shimano Stradic spinning reel with a 3″ brown tube did the trick according to Brian!

BCR874 & Curado 200E7 get the job done.

Here’s a great Kentucky Lake largemouth caught by Todd Dixon while fishing with one of our team. Todd’s fish was almost 5 lbs and was landed compliments of his G. Loomis BCR874 MossyBack rod, Shimano Curado 200E7 reel, and some Sunline 16 lb Super FC Sniper line. Excellent!
Mix & Match fishing, I like it!

Talk about “mix and match”, how about one largemouth and one smallmouth at about the same time? Kris Effinger shows that’s sure a possibility on Kentucky Lake in May. The “smallie was 4 lbs plus and dwarfs Kris’ 3 lb plus largemouth. Well done!

Shimano Terez rod strikes again

This beautiful 5 ft, 9 inch tarpon was released after Damon Warmack took this great shot. Damon says his new Shimano Terez rod had a lot to do with landing this big, beautiful fish. We love it!

B-I-G largemouth

Pro Staffer Chris Wilkinson shows us how it’s done with this B-I-G largemouth caught recently. Nice job, Chris!

Awesome Tigerfish

Oh boy! Here’s a fish that looks like it could be fishing for us instead of the other way round! Bob Daly sends us this picture of Steve Ryan with a monster tigerfish caught recently on his trip to Africa. Now THAT had to have been fun!

Nice King Salmon

Sometimes you gotta’ get up early to get those bigguns’. Michael Cronk confirms this with a very nice king salmon caught recently on Lake Huron. At 5:30 AM!

Monster Golden Dorado...48lbs!

How’s this for a monster fish? Bob Daly holds his largest golden dorado to date. This 48 lb monster was caught at La Zona in Argentina this spring and had to have been one bad ass fight. Congrats, Bob!

Nice Belgium Perch

We’re always happy to get pictures from our friend Gunther Van Ginneken and this one is no exception. What a nice perch caught by Gunther in Belgium recently. Gunther just got a new fish finder and perhaps it had something to do with this nice guy.

New Member of the 5lb Club!

J. D. Smith’s uncle Brian says this picture is proof that J. D. is now a member of the 5 lb Club! A very new member at that as this fish was just caught this week on Kentucky Lake. Congratulations, J.D.!

Beautiful Belgium sunrise

Gunther Van Ginneken sends us this beautiful shot of early morning sunrise over his favorite fishing spot in Belgium. This is what fishing is all about!

Please, folks, send us some of your pictures. We’re not after trophies, just pictures of fish you’re proud of. It’s easy. Just attached them to an email and send them to us at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to get them in the newsletter. Send them in to us!
