Great Northern Pike

Larry Carr shows us how it’s done on Bolton Lake in Manitoba with one very nice Northern Pike. Now that looks like fun!

Christmas Island Yellowfin

Craig Dickason says working for a few months on Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean does have some advantages. This Yellowfin tuna certainly qualifies as a very acceptable “extra curricular activity”!

Very Nice 38" Striped Bass

Our friend Bob Bolger shows off a very nice 38″, 16 lb. striped bass caught off Swampscott, MA a couple of weeks ago on his friend Gene’s boat. After being caught trolling a tube and worm the fish was released after a couple pictures. Well done, Bob!

Awesome Sailfish

Our friend Dan Ross says it been a great season for DR Sportfishing in Costa Rica http://www.drsportfishingcostarica.com This picture of Jarrad with his first sail certainly confirms that!

Monster from Papau New Guinea

Bob Daly’s friend Steve Ryan shows off one of the monster bass caught recently on a trip to Papua New Guinea. All we can say is “wow”!

Walleye Assasin

John Doolittle sent us this picture of his Walleye Assassin Team from a recent trip to Bolton Lake in Manitoba. Team includes John, Kevin Shandera, Bob Doolittle, Tom Doolittle, Larry Carr, Carter, Tom.

Very first barracuda

Angela Newton’s daughter holds her very first barracuda. It just doesn’t get any better than this!

6 foot plus Wels Catfish wow!

This picture may be pretty hard to see, but it’s all Gunther Van Ginneken has to show for a 6 ft+ (!), 100 lb Wels catfish he fought for 30 minutes when fishing in his float tube. The fish was so big he couldn’t land it (how do you pull a 100 lb fish on a float tube?) This was as close as he got before release!

Nice Barramundi

Fishing out of Cairns Marina Wharf (Australia) Angela Newton’s son landed this barramundi. Can you say “well done”?

Not Too Small Tarpon

Thanks to Dan Ross http://www.drsportfishingcostarica.com for this amazing picture of a “not too small” Tarpon caught recently in Costa Rica. Wow!

65lb Salmon

How about a 56 lb salmon? Dan Ross says that’s exactly what this young lady has a grip on. Looks like Oregon will be on our bucket list! Visit Dan’s site at http://www.drsportfishingcostarica.com

Nice Catch!

Our friend Scott Almsberger says fishing doesn’t get much better than this. A very nice walleye and a great Xikar cigar!

Nice Indiana Bass

Nathan Voytek (Tom’s grandson) shows off a bass caught while fishing with his buddy Michael (Tom’s other grandson) while visiting Indiana recently. Nate’s a true fisherman!

Wahoo! Bonus!

Some of us just get lucky in our work. This is obviously a benefit Craig Dickason enjoyed recently when assigned to the Christmas Islands. Craig says this wahoo was a nice “bonus”!

Wow!

Mike Lapiana was setting in his garage complaining about a rabbit eating his flowers when the problem was solved. The picture may be a bit fuzzy, but the resolution is very clear!

Very Nice Bolton Lake Walleye

Well, Bolton Lake in Manitoba does produce some very nice walleye. Kevin Shanders confirms this with the gorgeous fish!

Walleye's Nightmare

Here’s an example of a walleye’s worst nightmare. Can you say “dinner”? Thanks to Scott Almsberger for this amazing shot!

Nice Northern Pike

The Walleye Assassin’s team member Kevin Shandera is all smiles with this very nice northern pike caught recently on their trip to Bolton lake in Manitoba. A very happy time!

Nice Wels Catfish

Gunther Van Ginneken shows off a medium sized Wels catfish caught recently in Belgium. This is the one that didn’t get away!

Nice catch and release

No better way to close a newsletter than a picture of an angler practicing catch-and-release. Thanks to Scott Almsberger for supply our picture this issue!
