Braggin Board Pictures | August 8, 2010

September 13, 2010 By Fishing Pro Leave a Comment

PLEASE Send us some recent pictures! Kids, Wives, Girlfriends, Mom, or Dad, we love them all! Just attach them to an e-mail with a short explanation to [email protected] and we’ll make sure they are posted on the “Braggin’ Board”. We will also try to get them in our newsletter.

Lake Trout Lunch

Here’s Chris Wilson with his two lake trout mentioned in our recipe above. In my book these are perfect eatin’ size! Nice job, Chris!

Awesome catch on Stella 2000

Bob Tartaglia says this bad boy was his “lifetime fish” and we can certainly see why. 73 inches long and all fight kept Bob “busy” for a while! Caught July 1st off of Chatham, Cape Cod using a Shimano Stella 20000 and a rod rated at 80 lbs! Congratulations, Bob, on this awesome catch!

Great catch

Scott Randall sends us this picture of his beautiful wife with a beautiful rainbow caught in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. Scott built her a 3 wt fly rod while she was overseas in the U.S. Navy and here’s the result. Thanks to Scott for sharing and for his wife’s service to our country!

One legged catch

Chris West says a damaged leg couldn’t stop him from taking this 6.9 lb largemouth! Congratulations Chris on your determination as well as obviously proficient fishing skills. Well done!

Awesome Musky

Our pal John Gillman shows off the results of a last minute afternoon fishing trip in Michigan. 49 1/2″ long and likely 40 lbs this musky had some major girth according to John. All we can say is “WOW”

Fluke from Sandy Hook Bay

Barry Batista caught this nice 7.1lb fluke fishing in Sandy Hook Bay on an old Shimano boron/graphite Beastmaster rod. Barry says “Only thing better than the fight, was the fillets for dinner.” We couldn’t agree more!

Nice Northern Pike

James Rogers wanted to share this picture of a Northern Pike I caught while fishing in the Adirondacks last week. The fish was caught on a G-loomis custom UL on a 2′ Berkley powergrub and 4 lb test while perch fishing with his 9 yr old son. Obviously that youngster brought James some really GOOD luck!

Southern Bluefin Tuna

Dan McRorie, oun good friends from Australia, sends us this awesome picture of one of many Southern Bluefin Tuna he caught on the weekend. Dan says, “this is only a small model in the scale of what these fish grow to, but this fella was caught on one of the Shimano Tescata rods I got from you (+ stella 4000) and was a great fight on light gear!” Love those Tescata rods!

Great pic!

Gunther Van Ginneken says this wasn’t the biggest fish in the river, but catching this guy was a lot better than working that day. We agree!

Ohio River Striper

One of our very own pros, Devon Welter, shows off a VERY NICE Ohio River striper caught on a Spro Old Glory Lipless Crank bait on the end of a G. Loomis CBR 845 via Sunline 8LB FC Sniper. Devon says the line did not break off one time!

Sunset

Our final picture was taken by our good friend Gunther Van Ginneken at dawn on one of his recent frishing trips. As Gunther says, “not much can go wrong when the day begins like this.” We couldn’t agree more!

Please, folks, send us some of your pictures. We’re not after trophies, just pictures of fish you’re proud of. It’s easy. Just attached them to an emal and send them to us at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to get them in the newsletter. Send them in to us!
