Braggin Board Pictures | February 21, 2010

February 21, 2010 By Fishing Pro Leave a Comment

Let’s be Honest here. These Pictures are FUN! Yes, we know it’s the Middle of Winter, but we Still Like Your Pictures, especially if they are from warmer climates! C’mon….Share the Love…..

PLEASE Send us some recent pictures! Just attach them to an e-mail with a short explanation to [email protected] and we’ll make sure they are posted on the "Braggin’ Board". We will also try to get them in our newsletter.

Francisco Jose Salado Zamorano from Barcelona, Spain sends this GREAT picture of a 53 lb (24 kg) palometon fish caught in the Elbro River delta using a popper and a Shimano Saragosa 5000 with 20 lb line. This is just a great expression of just what fishing is all about!! Love it!

Jason Hurworth says this small sailfish was caught in mid January off Cape Moreton in Queensland Australia onboard his friend’s boat called ‘Huntress’. It was caught on his new G Loomis Pelagic fitted with a Shimano Tiagra 16. Jason says it was the perfect way to christen a new rod. We agree….

Larry Long tells us they don’t mess around down in Tennessee when it comes to "keeper" catfish. Wow, I guess not! How do you say, "that’s a truckload"?

Petteri Mäkelä sends us this picture of a beautiful seatrout (we call them specs) from Finland. This fish was 30 inches (76 cm) long and weighed 12 lb (5.3 kg). Probably one of the best looking fish we have seen. Thanks, Petteri, for sharing this great shot!

Mat Peacock caught this snapper caught on the east coast of Australia on a 7 inch berkley jerk shad using a G. Loomis BSR852 GLX matched with a Shimano Stella 4000 0n 10kg braid. This gourgeous fish weighed in at 8 lb and was 640cm (25 1/4) inches long. Nice…

Steve Slee had a successful lobster hooping trip this month in the Santa Monica Bay, California. Along with some 4 lb. lobster, the hoops were full of red rock crab. Limits of rock bass and sculpin were caught on a GLoomis Pelagic Series rod. We like Steve’s hat!

Here’s another Petteri Mäkelä seatrout (we call them specs) from Finland. This fish was 29 inches (75 cm) long and weighed almost 13 lbs. They grow BIG in Finland….

Jim Boerger shows off a wonderful 5 lb 5 oz Largemouth caught in the Mumford River in Massachusetts. What a great fish for this northern area. And I DO believe Jim is a happy guy!!
