Braggin’ Board Pictures | July 24, 2011

Jason Whitledge didn’t just have a great day on Kentucky Lake out of Paris Landing July 9th, he won the American Bass Anglers Tournament as a co-angler and also had the big fish at 6.61 lbs. Jason says his new Shimano Crucial rod, Curado reel, and Sunline line did the trick.Congrats Jason on those great results! 

Peter Ede sends us this great picture of himself and son Charlie with a 20 lb Bonnethead Shark caught using shrimp in Sarasota Bay, Florida. The boat skipper was the ever-genial Capt. Greg Abbott – surely one of the best in Florida. 

Always a sucker for beautiful ladies and beautiful fish, we just couldn’t resist this wonderful picture of Sky Reeder holding a 3 lb rainbow trout caught on the White River in Arkansas out of Stetson’s Resort near Flippin. 

 

Our buddy Foy Green just keeps catching magnificently B-I-G largemouth bass out of Falcon Lake in Texas. This  “Big-Ugn” (Foy says that the way it’s said in Texas) went 12 lb 4 oz. and was caught June 10th, 2011 on a G. Loomis rod and a Shimano Calais DC reel. Fantastic!  

How about this fantastic barramundi caught by Ian Anderson in North Queensland using his G. Loomis SJR724 IMX rod. Ian says this fish was over 30″ long and the rod handled him just fine. The bank of the river this beauty came from is in the background. Way to go, Ian! 

Dave Ryberg holds his 43″ northern pike taken using a G. Loomis  MBR782C with his Shimano Curado 300E caught on the last morning of his trip to Shoal Lake west of Kenora, Ontario the week of June 18-25 this year. Dave says he had the best pike day ever on his first day with 40 northerns, the largest was being 38″ and at least 30 were over 30″. What a super trip! 

We’re betting many of you recognize this. For those who do not this is a typical “Shore lunch” for Canadian shield lakes such as Shoal Lake in Ontario. Thanks to Dave Ryberg for sharing this “delicious” picture!

Ahmad Norzami Borhan shows off a very rare (for Malaysia) fresh water barramundi from Lake Kenyir in Malaysia. Anyone would kiss this over 8 lb beauty! 

Once he got used to his new G. Loomis NRX fly rod Ed Little said he was “skunk proof” and confirms that with this great picture! Ed says the his new rod stays rigged on his bass boat. Excellent! 

Our very own Brian Dolne took this close-up of a Shimano Waxwing Jig after finding out northern pike can’t resist it! Obviously all those bite marks confirm Brian ‘s conclusion.    

Holy Snikies! Check out this monster redfish that Bob Daly sent us a picture of. Bob’s friend Gary says this monster was 45 lbs and chose to go after a Deadly Dudley lure with gusto off the coast of Venice, Louisiana. Well done, Gary! 

Once again Gunther Van Ginneken sends us a picture of a beautiful sunset taken while he and his son were on vacation. Gunther did tell us just where he was, but it sure has some terrific natural beauty!
