Braggin Board Pictures – June 6, 2014

June 6, 2014 By Brian Dolne Leave a Comment

PICTURES from the BRAGGIN’ BOARD PLEASE Send us some recent pictures! Kids, Wives, Girl friends, Mom, or Dad, we love them all! Just attach them to an e-mail with a short explanation to [email protected] and we’ll make sure they are posted on the “Braggin’ Board”. We will also try to get them in our newsletter.

This is Pete Salg’s granddaughter’s very first big fish caught on 8 lb test line using a G. Loomis 722 rod and Shimano Spirex 1000 while fishing on Lake of the Woods in Canada. The audience (back right in picture) cheered when she landed this big guy after a 15 minute fight!
Our good friend (and attorney) Bart Herriman shows us how it’s done with this very nice northern pike caught last week on a Canadian fishing trip. Well done, Bart!
James McCord says this G. Loomis Pro Blue rod and Shimano Saragosa are ready and just waiting for a tarpon at Channel 2 bridge of Islamorada, Florida. Looks good to us!
Sky Reeder shows one of many Lake Huron smallies she and Dad Kevin caught on a recent 4 day trip with pro guide Rob Ruckman with Bay Outfitters using brand new G. Loomis IMX rods. No report if Dad got “out fished” by daughter!
Our friend Kevin Reeder says the smallie fishing on Lake Huron is fabulous and who can argue when you have fish like this 4 1/2 lb, 19+ in.smallie as proof? Well done, Kevin!
Zamzi Borhan says this 13 lb snapper is his biggest of the year. This bad boy was caught off Bagan Tengkorak, Malaysia fishing the Straits of Malacca. Nice!
Our pro Jon Beaushene says the smallies are hot on Lake of the Woods in Whitefish Bay. Who can argue with proof like this?
Whoa! This is a big, 15+ lb – 34″ sea trout caught by Arto Liukkonen on a recent trip in (we assume) Norway. Now that’s a big fish! Congrats, Arto!
This huge 40 lb redfish was caught by Matt Waller on light bass tackle. Very impressive!
How about a 110 lb Yellowfin tuna caught off Venice, Louisiana? Clay McCord says he was there for Navy Seal’s wedding. Congrats to Clay and thanks to the groom for his service to our country!
We’re always surprised by the inventiveness of fishermen. Case in point is Kamal Al Sultan’s “dual handle” Shimano Stella 20000 set up to land monster tuna off Kuwait. Should do the job!
Every so often we get pictures of customer’s fishing rigs, but this picture is from Brian Hollaway who is a partner in Velocity Archery. American Legacy is now hunting and fishing. Looks like Brian is as well!
Lake of the Woods must be hot this time of year. John Nikoleit shows off a very nice smallie caught there recently using his G. Loomis NRX rod. Looks like it’s time to jump in the truck and head north!
Here’s a nice “little” 42 lb grouper caught by Zamzi Borhan in the Straits of Malacca around Bagan Tenkorak, Malaysia. Zami says fish this size in the area are very rare. Impressive!
