Braggin Board Pictures | March 25, 2012

 PICTURES from the BRAGGIN’ BOARD
PLEASE Send us some recent pictures!  Kids, Wives, Girlfriends, Mom, or Dad, we love them all! Just attach them to an e-mail with a short explanation to [email protected] and we’ll make sure they are posted on the “Braggin’ Board”. We will also try to get them in our newsletter.

Awesome Wels catfish!

OK, so you go fishing for Aspius in a Rhein River around Hamm am, Germany using a 7 ft rod, Shimano Stradic CI4 4000 spinning reel, and 15 lb Power Pro line with a fluoro leader and a little spinner jig. And then this monster 88 lb, 6 ft long Wels catfish takes the bait. What to do? Well, after about an hour Markus Schader landed this bad boy! This definitely deserves our biggest “Well Done”!

BIG Barramundi

Craig Dickason sends us this picture of a BIG barramundi caught New Year’s day in the Fitzroy River near Derby, North Western Australia using a very light 6 kg line. Craig say that was “lots of fun.” Ya think?

Gorgeous Steelhead

Our friend Mike Lapiana shows off an absolutely gorgeous 12 3/4 lb steelhead caught on his 9 ft NRX fly rod recently. We think brother Joe may be jealous when he sees this fish!

Nice catch!

We always enjoy pictures from our friend Gunther Van Ginneken and this issue is no exception. Gunther says the temperatures have been mild at around 70 degrees and fishing good in Belgium. We’d say this pictures proves Gunther is right!

HOG Bass! Wow!

Man oh man, every time we get a picture like Dwight Hottle’s here we get jealous. This fantastic 9 lb. 2 oz largemouth was Dwight’s personal best and came out of a farm pond in Georgia last week. Congratulations, Dwight!

Beautiful Steelhead

Well, this fish is obviously larger than a bass. Maybe that’s why George Lapiana has such a big smile on his face. Son Mike did a great job guiding and this nice steelie was obliging as well. Great hat, too!

Great Smallie

This nice smallie helped Tyler Ziedrich finish 6th in a recent BassMaster weekend series tournament. We’re betting that ALFC shirt had something to do with his success!

Great catch!

Even in early spring Nick Lendy shows us he can catch some nice largemouth’s. These two were caught the day after a BassMaster Weekend Series tournament on Kentucky Lake. Nick finished 10th the day before. Well done, Nick!

Great Pink Dentex

Can Fafal (right) and his brother show us how to catch dinner in Turkey. They were using Shimano Butterfly jigs which Can says work great on pink dentex. We can only imagine how good dinner was!

Another great catch

Here’s a great picture from Turkey sent in by Can Fafal of a pink dentex caught using Shimano Butterfly jigs. Can says these jigs really produce and evenings are the best time. Well done, Can!

Nice amberjack

Randy Marcum and his sister show off two nice amberjack caught recently on his boat Head Rooster. Those had to have some BIG fun!

Perfect end to the day

Ah, the end of a perfect day. At least that seems to be what Captain Phil Buskirk is says here, a guest on Randy Marcum’s Head Rooster. Does it get any better?

Please, folks, send us some of your pictures. We’re not after trophies, just pictures of fish you’re proud of. It’s easy. Just attached them to an email and send them to us at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to get them in the newsletter. Send them in to us!
