Braggin Board Pictures | March 7, 2010

March 7, 2010 By Fishing Pro Leave a Comment

Let’s be Honest here. These Pictures are FUN! Yes, we know it’s the Middle of Winter, but we Still Like Your Pictures, especially if they are from warmer climates! C’mon….Share the Love…..

PLEASE Send us some recent pictures! Just attach them to an e-mail with a short explanation to [email protected] and we’ll make sure they are posted on the "Braggin’ Board". We will also try to get them in our newsletter.

Cliff Cartwright holds a 53 1/2 lb, 50 inches long rockfish caught off Cape Charles, Virginia last December. Cliff’s son was ready to get this bad guy in the bathrube as a playmate! Perfect picture, here. Fisherman, fish, cute son, and dog!

Vern Ryberg’s son Captain Dean Ryberg shows off an awesome Lake Erie walleye. Contact Capt. Vern at [email protected] if you want some great fishing!

Our pal Richard Cheek sure knows how to catch BIG reds (40 lb) as evidenced by this NICE red! Richard says Dan Pike is an awesome guide. Contact him at http://www.inshoreanglercharters.com/home.php

Richardo Pinto can catch some beautiful Golden Dorad at Yahape, Corrientes, Argentine. Here’s proof!

Eric Wuhl says they’re all big at San Luis Reservoir in California. I’m guessing this one a a bit bigger than normal at 28 lbs and 41 inches long. Great fish, Eric.

Markus Schrader holds a very nice Aspius aspius caught on the River Rhine on a spinning rod this January. at almost 12 lbs and 31 inches long this is a NICE fish!

Brad O’Riley says these ARE NOT murray cod but were still a fun way to break in his new G. Loomis rod and Daiwa Zillion. How about 28 and 29 inches? Even trash fish can be a lot of fun as evidenced by Brad’s catch!

Richard Cheek’s daughter Lucy shows off one huge 50 lb (!) redfish with Captain Dan Pike caught in Destin, Florida bay. WOW!!

Matthew Peacock says this gorgeous snapper was caught on the east coast of Australia. Matthew was using a G. Loomis BSR852 GLX with a Shimano Stella 4000 which easily handled this 8 lb, 26" beauty, even on such a very wet day!

Ricardo Pinto holds one of his guest golden dorado caught in Yahape, Corrientes, Argentina. Pinti says he is available at www.yahapeflyfishing.com

Phil Plaskon holds one monster black drum caught off the east cape of Flamingo in Lake Ingram, Florida. This is a great fishing area as evidenced by this big guy.

Dylan Skinns holds one nice Samson fish weighing 66 lbs I caught on the new Pro Green 844 he bought. We were amazed with these rods when they came out and even more so after receiving Dylan’s picture. Awesome catch!

Finally, this is a NEW Peacock Bass record that our friend Bob Daly has kept us updated on. This is a picture of the new monster which weighed in at 28+ lbs. Caught on a G. Loomis Escape model ETR81-3HC-20 rod attached to a Shimano Curado 300E reel. Weighed on a Boga Grip taht was (fortunately) IGFA-certified. The lucky angler was Bill Gassmann of Des Moines, Iowa fishing a tributary of the Rio Negro in northern Brazil. Congratulations on this new world record!
