Here’s a wonderful picture from Alex Grodski from a trip in February to Tasmania’s central highlands. This gorgeous 5.5 lb brown trout was caught using a G. Loomis GLX Max 6 wt fly rod. Alex says you can have all 4 seasons in one day and this beauty was caught during a break in this ever-changing weather. Fantastic!
My oh my, Anthony Goulding sends us the absolutely wonderful picture of a huge red emperor fish caught off Queensland, Australia using a Shimano Torsa 20 matched to a G. Loomis PSR90-25C rod with a PE Tackle saltwater fly on the end. We think Anthony had some real fun with this big guy!
We’re pretty sure Jamie Hubbard is doing all he can to hold this 64 lb cobia up for this picture. We can only imagine how tired he was after fighting this monster. Jamie was fishing off the Broad River just off Hilton Head when this big gal latched on to his line. Congratulations to Jamie on landing this true trophy fish!
Holy Schomoly! Phillip Hendricks landed this monster 66 lb + barramundi using a G. Loomis NRX 803C JWR rod! Does anyone need further proof of the NRX rod’s performance or Phillip’s fishing prowess? We think not!
Herb Kuhlenschmidt received a G. Loomis rod from his lovely wife Judy this last Christmas (ladies, are you listening?) and put it to good use as evidenced by this good looking 6 lb largemouth caught in a local mining pit. Best news is Herb released this fish to excite future fishermen!
It’s hard to believe this catfish is only 17 lbs, but Andrew Herein says that what it weighed. This beauty was caught in the Danube River in Hungary this month using light tackle and line. Thanks, Andrew, for this fantastic shot!
Derek Coe says this is the biggest bass he has ever caught! We’re guessing his hat (along with fishing expertise) had something to do with it. Derek says this beauty was caught on Lake Barkley, Kentucky April 29 of this year. Bravo!
Our very own Adam Daywalt spent an afternoon with some of our local Boy Scouts fishing a city pond. The results are impressive. The smiles priceless! Adam put together about 30 fishing outfits for the kids last year and has been splendid in making sure they know the fine points of fishing. Bravo, Adam!
Andrew Herein sent us this picture of what is called a marna in Hungary or a barbell in the UK. It’s always nice to see different fish species we don’t have here in the USA. This marna is no exception. Thanks, Andrew!
Danny Effinger looks like he’s giving our Adam Daywalt a few fishing lessons from the back of Dam’s boat. This nice largemouth was caught recently when Danny and Adam were fishing together. Very Nice Fish!
Please, folks, send us some of your pictures. We’re not after trophies, just pictures of fish you’re proud of. It’s easy. Just attached them to an email and send them to us at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to get them in the newsletter. Send them in to us!
