What’s a Used Drop?
This will be redundant for those of you that have been involved with our efforts on various social media platforms, but here is a breakdown of our exclusive used offerings.
For almost a year now, we have offered exclusive access to our best used gear for our social media followers before it hits the website. This served as a way to quickly turn our used gear while simultaneously engaging with our followers. As great as it was, we had three main issues with that method of pushing used gear.
- Used Drops were only available for our followers, which ostracized our newsletter subscribers that choose to stay off of social media
- Payment for items purchased through those used drops were limited to PayPal
- The products that didn’t sell would need to have more time dedicated to make listings on the website (Very inefficient)
So how did we fix those issues? We decided to take a few extra steps by creating used product listings on our site like normal, but stashing those listings in a private category that can only be accessed when we allow it.
We will strive to drop a fresh batch of used gear every Friday morning unless we are running a concurrent promotion that involves used gear.
