Tom….do you have any Terez 3 – piece rods….or 4 pc? – Joe, ALFC Newsletter Subscriber
Joe,
Unfortunately all the Terez series rods are 1 pc rods.
The Loomis Escape rods are all 3 pc travel rods. Here’s a link for casting: http://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/g-loomis-escape-travel-rods-casting.html and Spinning: http://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/g-loomis-escape-travel-spinning-rods.html These, to me, are state of the art in travel rods. None better.
Otherwise that’s about “it” except the new Daiwa Ardito-TR rods. These are great bang-for-the-buck, but again all 3 pc. Here’s a link for these rods: http://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/fishing/fishing-rods/travel-rods/shopby/ardito.html
4 pc rods would be a bit problematic due to the shorter length of cast and spin. That many ferrules would really dampen sensitivity as well as strength and power. I know there are some St. Croix rods that are 4 pc, but my take is they’re more for convenience and not something that a real fishing enthusiast such as yourself would find very appealing.
Hope you are well. Always great to hear from you!
Best,
Tom Ashby
