Hi Folks,
Well, it’s almost Thanksgiving week. Dixie and I are headed for Texas to visit 5 of our Grandkids, two daughters, one son-in-law, one “significant other”, and 4 dogs. And we’re planning on some serious bass fishing on Lake Texoma a day or two next week as well. We’re anxious to see one and all and really don’t mind a full day’s drive. I mean, we’ve done many, many times just to go fishing or hunting when NO kids or Grandkids were involved
We like Thanksgiving and all of the “fixins” that accompany this holiday, but always try to remember just why we celebrate this day. We hope all of you will join us in taking the time to be thankful for just what we have. As Dixie and I have gotten older we realize it really isn’t about the “things” in our lives, but our family and friends. This is what we are truly thankful for.
We have been blessed with 3 daughters, 8 grandkids, and many, many wonderful relatives and friends. This is our true wealth and something we all too often take for granted. That’s why Thanksgiving is such a great holiday. It’s sort of a preamble to preparing us for Christmas and puts us in a more thankful, sharing and giving mood.
Yes, we know Thanksgiving is the kick off for the Christmas shopping season, but we like to think of it as the kick off for the “count your blessings” season. It’s a time we can reflect on just how lucky we are and be thankful for where we live and those we share our lives with. It’s a time when we can come together as families and just take in all the love we oftentimes are too busy to appreciate. We like Thanksgiving and hope you do as well.
Being Thanksgiving week we decided to do something special. Our gang has come up with some real DEALS, some of which are included here – Some will be coming your way in the next few days. Every one is a Serious Deal you will for sure want to take a hard look at.
Once again, we thank each and every one of you for your continued patronage and loyalty. Yes, this is a business. But more importantly it is a promise to every one of you to do our very best to meet your needs and expectations. We truly appreciate the opportunity to serve you and wish all of you a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving.
Tight lines,
Tom Ashby
